$40K awarded among nine nonprofit organizations by BENEFIT
Grant award funding from proceeds of BENEFIT’s 2025 Crossroads Music Festival
LEESBURG, Va. (November 20, 2025) – Music has made a difference for nine nonprofit organizations that provide services to children in Loudoun County. The nonprofit organizations were recipients of grant funding from proceeds of BENEFIT’s 2025 Crossroads Music Festival.
BENEFIT is a coalition of musicians and community leaders uniting people with music to raise funds and awareness for nonprofit organizations that provide services to children in Loudoun County. BENEFIT’s 2025 Crossroads Music Festival took place in downtown Leesburg in September.
A total of $40,000 was awarded among the nine nonprofit organizations. Recipients of BENEFIT grant funding include:
Food for Neighbors; A Hand Up - NOVA, Inc., which operates the Northern Virginia Diaper Bank; Loudoun Youth, Inc.; A Place to Be; The Salvation Army of Loudoun County; The Arc of Loudoun; Dulles South Food Pantry; Ryan Bartel Foundation; and Dulles South Soup Kitchen (now named America’s Soup Kitchen).
The recipients were selected through a grant application process that took place earlier this year.
“These nonprofit organizations are dedicated to helping children in Loudoun County,” Ara Bagdasarian, president and co-founder of BENEFIT, said. “They provide food support so that students don’t go hungry. They provide programs, classes, and support services to nurture and empower children and teens in our community. We are proud to be able to support these organizations and assist them in continuing their missions and goals to help children in Loudoun County. We thank all the musicians, sponsors, venues, volunteers, and event attendees for making it possible to provide this funding.”
The grant application process for funding to be raised from BENEFIT’s 2026 Crossroads Music Festival will open in January 2026. Nonprofit organizations that provide services to children in Loudoun County are encouraged to apply. Information about the 2026 grant application process will be posted on the BENEFIT website in January.
“Crossroads Music Festival is an event of BENEFIT, the organization we started back in 2017 to shine a light on needs in our community that were being met by nonprofit organizations in Loudoun County and to help raise money for their efforts by using the uniting power of live music,” Amy Bobchek, vice president and co-founder of BENEFIT, said. “Our vision is to create a culture of giving in our community. We hope that as our Crossroads Music Festival event grows each year, the culture of giving and the support that can be provided to these organizations grow as well.”
BENEFIT’s 2026 Crossroads Music Festival will take place September 18 and 19.
