Call for musicians for BENEFIT’s 2025 Crossroads Music Festival
Musicians to be showcased in event in downtown Leesburg
LEESBURG, Va. (March 4, 2025) – BENEFIT’s Crossroads Music Festival is returning to downtown Leesburg Friday, Sept. 19, and Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025. The organization is extending a call for musicians to perform during the Saturday showcase portion of the event.
BENEFIT’s Crossroads Music Festival features music performances from national and regional musicians and bands for an event that helps support nonprofit organizations.
BENEFIT is a coalition of musicians and community leaders uniting people with music to raise funds and awareness for nonprofits serving children in Loudoun County.
Musicians and bands who are interested in offering their time and performing a 60-minute showcase set on Saturday, Sept. 20, are encouraged to submit their information through the online application form on BENEFIT’s website no later than Friday, March 21. Performers will be notified of their application status beginning in May. The final lineup of Saturday showcase performers will be announced in June.
“BENEFIT’s mission is to unite people with music to raise funds and awareness for nonprofit organizations serving children in Loudoun County,” Amy Bobchek, vice president and co-founder of BENEFIT, said. “Our Crossroads Music Festival gives musicians a chance to share their talent to help members of our community.
While the 60-minute showcase performances on Saturday, Sept. 20, are not compensated, musicians interested in performing at BENEFIT’s 2025 Crossroads Music Festival have the option to apply to be a venue “Host Band”.
If selected to be a host band — one per venue — the host band will provide sound and lighting for all performances taking place at their assigned venue. Each venue host band will receive a stipend as well as recognition at the event. Performers interested in being a host band can select the “Optional: Host Band” checkbox when completing the online application form. Performers will be notified if they have been selected as a host band in June.
“We have been fortunate over the years for all the wonderful musicians who have generously donated their time and talent for BENEFIT’s events,” Ara Bagdasarian, president and co-founder of BENEFIT, said. “Many BENEFIT team members are musicians, so we understand the amount of time and effort it takes to set up, put on and manage a live music performance. That is why we are offering a stipend and additional recognition if a musician or band is selected to be a host band for our 2025 Crossroads Music Festival.”
